Why cant my _ year old do tap (or Hip Hop, or Pointe)?

Chadwick Bay Academy of Dance has a time tested, age appropriate curriculum. The scientists research has proven that the inner ear (which is responsible for balance) is still developing at the ages of 3. So tap is offered at age 4 when fine motor movement, balancing on one foot and the loud noise that a class of tappers can generally be tolerated. Jazz and Hip Hop are a class choice when a young dancer has better awareness of body alignment, torso movement and dynamics can be articulated. The Chadwick Bay Academy of Dance course selections grow as a young person develops. The youngest dancers start with 1 hour lessons per week and as they mature they graduate to 1 1/2 hours or multiple lesson per week. As ones self responsibility increases there are more choices.

What are terms of payment?

Chadwick Bay Academy of Dance is pleased to offer our auto-pay program via checking account or credit card(mc/visa) for committed customers. The first tuition payment is the opportunity to "settle in to a class".

Do you have shows?

Artistic director Rosanne Chesbro offers many varied performance opportunities for her students. Chadwick Bay Academy of Dance will have a Christmas Dance Production at our new location every two years. Many students preform in our annual June recital, but we also march in local parades, in community service projects at local senior citizen residences, and at the Chautauqua County Fair in July.
